Shows for the rest of the 2025 season forward will be performed at The Douglas Morrison Theater on the Hayward/Castro Valley border right off the Redwood Rd. exit on 580. The address is 22311 N. 3rd St.
The final 4 shows will be on SUNDAYS AT 2 PM ONLY.
There will be no more Saturdays effective immediately. If you are a Saturday ticket holder, your tickets are now good for Sundays at 2 PM.
So, NO MORE LIBRARY SHOWS effectively immediately. We’ll resume at Douglas Morrison in February 2026. If you’re a season ticket holder, there’s nothing you need to do but show up.

For over 30 years, Josh Kornbluth has developed his monologues through a series of improvisations. Now he’s starting from scratch again – this time based on what’s currently on, and in, his mind. For over six months, he’s been mired in a deep depression. At the same time, our country has been rapidly descending into fascism. So Josh finds himself in a Resistance on at least two levels: against MAGA’s depredations, and against attacks from within his own psyche. “What Is To Be Done?” is a work in (and of) progress.

A Southern family originally from Louisiana decides to build a house in a predominantly Black neighborhood in Oakland. It’s the mid-1980’s and the crack epidemic and all its danger, recklessness and destruction has taken a foothold in this struggling neighborhood. But with the determination of this family, headed by a strong-willed mother and father and their daughter Pearl, they gather a motley crew of men: parolees, those fighting drug addiction, the least fortunate, and together they fight to make this dream home into a reality.

In every other respect, comedy has evolved past ethnic stereotypes, but somehow Jewish mothers are stuck in the Borscht belt, and it’s high time we got an upgrade too! “Don’t Mind Me” combines historic research, interviews, inventive comedy, real-life anecdotes and original music in a creative argument that we evolve past a dated stereotype which is rooted in misogyny, anti-Semitism, and ageism, to find new, more positive, accurate humor . . . and songs!
